More Dining Out

These meals could have been served anywhere, but just happened to be prepared here in St. Thomas.
Basil Hummus Platter at Cafe Amici on Sunday. Really outstanding! Surprised how great it was.
Bruschetta Three Ways at Boom Cucina on Tuesday...
with Fettuccine al Funghi. This was excellent as well! Cant wait to go back.
The Left Banc is a really cute restaurant that opened a few weeks ago in Charlotte Amalie...
very quaint interior...
I came for the Veggie Burger, but they had run out. Since we were the only guests on Saturday afternoon, the chef had time to prepare some vegan items for me. This was a Grilled Watermelon Salad. Very unique and sweet. Almost like dessert...
and Grilled Eggplant with a Tomato Relish. Tasty considering it was Eggplant.
A long distance photo of Genip sleeping on fallen palm fronds. More to come. Bye for now.

  1. The basil hummus platter looks amazing!! That restaurant is so cute, very cheery and welcoming.
I am scared of grilled watermelon the way I'm scared of grilled Romaine. I feel like watermelon should always be cold, but maybe I need to open my mind.
Sweet little Genip. Is he still friendly and sticking close to your home?

I love how bright and airy all of the restaurants look. Mood lighting can be nice but I really like the bright feel that the restaurants there have.

    1. I am grateful for the light here as well. Better than trying to take pics with just a small kitchen window for light like de olde blog.

  4. That mushroom pasta looks so good and like it had a ton of mushrooms in there. And how great that the cook made you some vegan dishes, the eggplant looks tasty!
Any cooking at home lately? Or smoothie making? Seems like it's perpetually smoothie season there.
I'm headed to asia for work for a week, hoping to find some fantastic tofu and noodles

  5. Ha ha! I can't tell which end is up on that photo of Genip.

There is little else wonderful that excellent restaurant bread and hummus. The watermelon salad looks delicious!! But the mushroom pasta is spectacular! Yum!
