Since I only use the stove top or toaster oven to cook, nothing too imaginative has yet to be made at home...

Avocado Toast for the occasional beakfast....

dinners are usually Gardein faux meats (these are the Sizzlin Szechuan Beefless Strips) with Boiled Potatoes and Heinz-57...

every Saturday I get a bowl to go of the Vegan Chili from Natural Food Grocery and Deli to have as a lunch option at home during the week...

whenever Frenchtown Deli has a Vegan Soup for the week, I stock up from there as well. Their Lentil Soup looks drab here but is exceptional...

an excellent lunch out this week a Jen's Island Deli...

Jen's Veggie Burger is so huge, I take half home to enjoy for dinner (with the usual Potatoes)...

Meson Amalia had a Pesto Pasta special on Sunday and graciously made one special for me without cheese. Really great. More to come. Bye for now.

Souping

Soup has become a major part of my life since moving down here, I have no idea why this is. On another positive note, one of the best Chocolate Bars the Mr. brought down with him in August was this Dark Chocolate Coconut from Whole Foods. If any mainlanders get the opportunity to try it, I highly recommend...

speaking of the Mr., it has been almost a year since a hat he ordered from Amazon was delivered. Since then, the empty box has been primo kitty real estate. Though only big enough for one cat comfortably, sometimes two must be on it. Thank goodness he ordered the hat.

Natural Food Grocery and Deli

This is the main Health Food Store on the Island. When I first moved down here, I was so freaked out by their prices, I didn't go back for many months...
additionally, I found the little deli in the back too confusing in terms of what was vegan and what wasnt...

in recent months, I've come to appreciate this store and their prices no longer seem so unreasonable...

they offer a Sandwich of the Week, Chickpea Burger below, which I have learned how to order via the simple order form...

As you can see, they are extremely generous with the Lettuce. Too generous. I am still learning how to consume their Sandwiches without everything falling all over the place. Tofu Sandwich...

one item which I absolutely cannot fault them on is their Vegan Chili. Not too spicy and full of big pieces of fresh cut vegetables. I see many bowls of this in my future...

speaking of the future, things looked way up for me yesterday whilst browsing Plaza Extra....

Both Chunky Monkey and Fudge Brownie have made it down here! 

Now I can finally experience what mainlanders have been enjoying for months. The Chunky Monkey was so rich, I loved it. Will try the Fudge Brownie tonight. Lots more to come. Bye for now.
