Soggy St. John

The Mr. is going back to Virginia on Thursday, so we took a vacation day and went to St. John...
not exactly beach weather, we mainly explored...
some wet Donkeys that seemed to want food but unfortunately I had nothing for them...
I have a Pavlovian response when I think of St. John: St. John Scoops!
we both got the St. John Sunrise, rich and delicious as usual...
we didnt see any falling Goats...
but were surprised to see a young buck! Stay off the road!
Cacti were sprouting...
and these cute flowers were in bloom..
No lunch on the Island, instead I got a Hummus and Veggie Sandwich to go from Baked In The Sun tohave for dinner tonight....
Thanks for looking. Bye for now.

  1. Donkeys!!They look kind of sad, like Eeyore.
I'm guessing there are tree climbing goats around.
I always worry when i see animals near a road!
    Beautiful flowers.
That sandwich has lots of sprouts, my favorite!!

  2. What a nice trip! The donkeys were so cute, but I agree, they do look sad. The flowering cacti are so gorgeous!! I would love to have cacti but I know I'll just stick myself way too many times for it to be worth it.

The hummus and veggie sandwich looks so amazing! The smoothie sounds great too. It looks like a milkshake!

  3. I don't understand why the goats are falling on the sign...??
What a fun way to spend the day! That smoothie does sound good- is the granola blended into it or just on top? Nice looking sandwich there too, i love lots of sprouts on sandwiches but they're not common to find in nyc (maybe since they are so perishable?)

    1. All I lnow is, Goats love climbing. The powerful blender at the smoothie shop just grinds up the Granola. This is news to me that sprouts arent common in NYC. Hope I get there one day to investigate.

  4. Agreeing on the sad donkey sentiments echoed above. But falling goats is also concerning! Oh my! Ha!

It does look like a nice holiday. Such gorgeous vistas! How is the granola blended into the smoothie? The rest of the ingredients sound like a pb milkshake. Yum!
