Nature's Way

Located in Nisky Center near Crown Bay, Nature's Way is a health food store with a little Vegetarian Deli in the back...
the hot bar is the same daily. From the bottom: Lasagna, Beans, Salad, Callaloo Soup, Corn Soup, Tofu and Soy Chunks...
the Lasagna was very different with shredded Carrots in it, not much Tomato Sauce...
the woman working there knows what is vegan and advised that the Grillers were vegetarian...
so I tried the Joan's Lentil Burger. Very healthy with lots of fresh veggies...
a flower in bloom at Drina's Farm...
Kept it food related today. Bye for now.

  2. You have been finding the best vegan spots! It's especially nice when people know the difference between vegan and vegetarian. It makes your life a lot easier I'm sure :) The lentil burger looks fantastic! Do you think you'll get it again?

I am starting to think about holiday treats… I am thinking that maybe this year I'll go the candy route? I think it could be cute to make a few different kinds of chocolates/candies and give out boxes of home made candy. I don't know I'm sure I'll change my mind a million times, ha!

    1. Candy for the holidays sounds great. Like that episode of 'Friends' where Monica made candy and all the tenants of her apartment building starting demanding more and more. They were like 'little drops of heaven' as I am sure yours will be as well.

  3. I'd love to run a little vegan deli...it seems like there so many small businesses there, which is awesome.

The lentil burger looks darn yummy!

    1. There are a lot of small businesses here. The only drawback I see for some of them is that it must be some kinda hot back in the kitchen cuz it is certainly hot up front.

  4. Joan's sandwich looks delicious! I would be hesitant regarding the lasagna. I like tomato sauce in my Italian! Ha ha!

My Dad is in VA visiting Grandma. I'll make sure he waves at your old neighborhood. ;) Maybe I can get him to go to Clare and Don's. Still think about that Blackened Tofu Sandwich!

    1. I hear it was not the nicest weather for your Dad's visit. If he did go out to eat, let me know where (I am guessing Brio or Cheesecake Factory). I care about these things.

  5. Looks like another good stop! Dunno about the carrots in the lasagna but if it was yummy that's what counts:) i like that the lentil burger is on a pita or whatever thinner bread that is with all those veggies. Why don't more places have sprouts???

    1. Gotta watch out for the Salmonella in the Sprouts up there. Down here I think things like that are more lenient. Any new brunch spots I should know about?

    1. It was a surprise to see such a lovely flower. I assume the owners of the farm planted it, I should have asked about it.
