Saki House is the Mr.'s favorite new restaurant. We have eaten here twice since it opened a week ago...
both times I started with the Avocado Sushi $8 and both times it has been great...
the Yellow Curry didnt thrill me so much. Too much sauce. Needed more spice or vegetables or something...
I loved the Pad See Ew (Tofu and Vegetables on Flat Rice Noodles). This will probably be my main 'go to' dish from now on. I believe both entrees were $15....
now for the Cats portion of the post. Below is Jasper lounging in the kitchen...
Sweet sweet Marmalade on the sofa...
Buttercup stretching on the kitchen floor. Her coat shows all the dust...
a pretty flower...
Lots more to come. Bye for now.
Ooooh! The sushi and pad see ew look amazing! Was the pad see ew spicy? I don't see any menacing red flakes. I love the kitty pics so much! What sweet faces they all have. I'm sad I can't be as cuddly with my bro's kitties as I had a pretty terrible allergic reaction the last time I house sat. Waaaaaah!
ReplyDeleteThe Pad See Ew was not spicy at all (probably could have used a little). Maybe bro can brush the kitties and then seriously vacuum before you come over next time. I am sure they wonder why their Aunt wont cuddle them.
DeleteI love hoe Jasper has the little white dot above his left eye. And i love Marmalade's mustache! They all look like they've grown to love island life! Those avocado rolls look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the white spot on Jasper's head is how I tell him from Thumper and Buttercup. Everyone but Mystique has learned to feel safe outside the guest bedroom. She is getting there slowly.
DeleteHopefully Saki House keeps up the quality eats! Beautiful sushi, too bad about the curry - I think it needs more veggies, too!
ReplyDeleteAdorable kitties, I'm glad we get to see them! They look like they are content!
Opening a Thai Restaurant here is a license to print money. it is the only one on the Island. Thanks for the kitty compliments.
DeleteThat noodle tofu dish would totally be my go to also. I've yet to have a japanese curry that i like- which is odd because i do like the not too spicy indian curries. Nice to have a new spot in the rotation.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful happy kitties you have! Great photos you got too
No brunching this weekend since we were all at the same rediculous birthday party dinner- my beautiful plates of leaves and veggies were devoid of any beans or nuts or tofu so the wine went to my head quickly!
Ttrockwood
How in this day and age IN MANHATTAN no less can a person get stuck with a plate of leaves and veggies and nothing else?!
