the Greenhouse is a very popular restaurant on the waterfront...
the vegan options are few. I requested my 'Black Bean Soup' without the sour cream, but of course, it came with sour cream. I spooned it off...
the 'Dinner Salad' was fine, but again, no reason to return...
although the view was decent...
kudos to Tickles for using zero Transfats...
More mediocrity ensued at Sangria's at the Elysian Beach resort. My 'Garbanzo Bean Burger on Pita' was a crumbly disappointment. Fries were fresh though...
Mojito was meh...
view was pleasant...
and, finally, these Jammie Dodgers were a big waste of money. No wonder they were on the close out table at Fruit Bowl...
Here's to keeping it all delicious and cruelty free in 2016. Bye for now.
Sometimes you need to purge all of the mediocrity at once - glad you left it behind in 2015! Cheers to the New Year! I'm not excited about going to work, but I am excited about life and the year ahead!
ReplyDeleteSo far 2016 has been non-mediocre. Now long can I keep it up?
DeleteI'm with Ingrid; good thinking to purge the less than stellar. Hope there will be less of that this year.
ReplyDeleteThe cookies look cute though, I'd probably fall prey. And pumpkin hummus sounds like it could have been good! Too bad.
Happy New Year Shen.
The cookie innards were harder than the 'biscuits' sandwiching the 'jammy'. Best I got stuck with them rather than yourself, since you have been through such trauma recently.
DeleteOh no, too bad everything was so mediocre! Lets just hope you left that in 2015 and that the New Year will bring you lots of new tasty meals :) Too bad nothing tasted as good as it looks because it all looks great!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
You are too nice. You would think after all these years of blogging, I would pick up some photography skills, but you would be wrong.
DeleteOh man, that burger pita thing even looks beige and sad in the photo...
ReplyDeleteA wise friend of mine once told me that sometimes you have to have crappy meals (and crappy days) so that you are able to recognize and appreciate what is not crap. She may have been more eloquent in how it was worded exactly, but the point resonated with me.
And now you can accurately gague that which is not crap! ;))

I think I have eaten enough crap to accurately guage for the rest of my life. Fortunately, I have found some favorite restaurants that should keep me eating good this year.
DeleteWell that is just a darn shame. Wishing you a happy 2016 filled with all yummy things.
ReplyDeleteNothing worse than a crumbly veggie burger at a restaurant! I can make crumbly burgers at home, and do often!
