Fur Baby Influx

About a week and a half ago, I found this little lady wandering the waterfront...
grabbed her up, named her 'Sadie' and her wandering days are over...
last Thursday, I found this little piglet next to the dumpsters...
he worships his big brother, Calvin, even when bro barks in his face non-stop. He is still unnamed, but his days of scrounging around the trash bins are behind him...
through it all, Molly has been a champ. I have begun taking her to the beach with Calvin and she is getting brave enough to actually come stand in the water on her own and allow some waves to roll into her...
Unlike Molly, the Mr. is very unhappy with the recent arrivals, so it has been a stressful time. Below is a Tofu Sandwich recently enjoyed at Mafolie...
a Rock Beauty...Ommmm...
Trying to catch up. Bye for now.

  1. That makes me so sad that those sweeties were left like that, but so happy that you found them! They are so sweet!
I hope the stress ends soon!

    1. We are sort of getting used to all the barking. It is not fun but you know how it is to have a need to 'help'. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

  2. Your beautiful family is growing!! I'm behind on blogs/lives, but this made me so happy for you. Hope the Mr. cheers up and bonds with those QTs.

  3. Are you sure those dogs didn't belong to someone? Are you looking for owners? Maybe they got loose and someone is missing them.

    1. I understand your concerns. The Puppy was definitely abandoned/feral. Sadie may have been fed from somewhere, but did not seem to recognize food when I served it to her. she has become more trusting and open-minded since seeing her new siblings eat.

  5. OMG what beautiful babies!! I'm so excited for you and your growing family. I know the Mr. may seem stressed now but he'll bond with them and he'll be so excited. I love the name Sadie and I can't wait to hear what name you come up with for your little blondie. That underwater pic is STUNNING. So beautiful.

Thanks for this post, it made me so happy!! I have a lot of bonding time coming up with the fur babies so I'm excited to get my cuddles in.

  6. Ooooh! What wonderful additions to your family!! And how fantastic that they all get along together :))
As with any new family announcements the dad is always initially scared and skeptical and then next thing you know he's head over heels......

That sandwich!! I can just tell from the photo it was amazing with that fluffy bread and thick slice of tofu with those veggies.

The whole situation in nyc is a bit much at the moment. I actually had to be across the street from trump tower today which was the epicenter of a massive protest with tons of cops and barricades and such. I suspect our city -and that tower- just became target #1 for about every terrorist organization. (((Sigh)))

I actually met a friend for a fantastic brunch earlier today at the new flatiron location of by chloe- their food is SO good. I had to get my favorite kale ceasar, and the vanilla chia pudding to go for dessert since i was too full. I had a bite of the gobble burger special my friend had that i have to go back for- it has stuffing and gravy on a veg burger!

Do you have plans for Tofurkey day? Are there friendly other americans you have met there? I'll stop blathering on now.... ;)

    1. I hear it will cost $1 million/day for Melania to stay in NYC. What a supreme waste of tax payer money. By Chloe appears to be taking NY by storm. Maybe in the spring I will get there. What did you bring to Thanksgiving this year? We have met friendly folks who actually invited us to their home! Lots of going outside of my comfort zone these days.

  7. The Mister will come around eventually - how can you not love those faces?! I'm so glad they have a happy home with you!! I think you name him Piglet, especially if he responds to it. Ha ha! Love Sadie, too!

Gorgeous tofu sandwich and rock beauty!!

    1. We are watching lots of episodes of 'The Dog Whisperer'. Might be helping a little. Remy problem doesnt require as much 'taming'.
