A Fur-Free Post

Been trying out new-to-us places using my new Canon Powershot, bought duty free last week. So far I am not noticing the camera taking better pics than my phone. First up was Rancho Latino for some Pasta Primavera (hold the cheese) with Plaintains on the side. Abundant and tasty, but, not worth returning for...

a better pasta dish was found at Sugarcane Grill. My 'Rasta Pasta' was made special for me using Olive Oil instead of butter. Excellent use of seasonings, we cant wait to return to this lovely open air restaurant...

yesterday, we went to Slice where I enjoyed the 'VI Grown Mixed Green Salad' with Cucumbers, Cherry Tomatoes, Onions, Artichokes, Cranberries, Quinoa and Balsamic Vinaigrette. I added the Blackened Tofu. A Salad Tour De Force...
the restaurant faces the swimming pool at Sapphire Village, the inside is nice and clean, we will return and often...
Last, and very much least was Sandbar. My 'Caribbean Ensalada' was a rip-off for $14...
didnt detect a hint of rum in my Mango Passionfruit Daiquiri either. $12 eight ounce smoothie is what it was...
Sandbar only has the view going for it IMO...
another recent discovery was the Nirvana Temple in Mandahl Bay...

We had to take off our shoes and speak in hushed tones while exploring. Very nice place...

    The VI salad looks beautiful and delicious, but the second salad is fourteen dollars?? That has to be a joke, although obviously not. People are obviously paying for the view which is breathtaking. Hibiscus flowers are sooooo beautiful!!

      That was a major rip off Salad, that place should be ashamed of itself to serve that!

    Yay for the hibiscus flower! Thanks for capturing it for me! The Nirvana Temple is so gorgeous, what a great discovery!

    That first salad looks incredible and the second one at $14 is definitely a rip off. How annoying about the drink! It looks delicious but what a bummer about the alcohol.

    The salad with the tofu looks freaking fantastic..! Although if you ate the entire pile of raw onion there I'm impressed. Too bad about the crummy expensive salad, and lame drink, that really is rediculous- they must just survive on tourists who don't know any better and never come back?
    That temple sounds very peaceful and relaxing....
