Mixing It Up

Been eating at Great Wall a lot lately, so a couple weeks ago I threw caution to the wind and requested the Kung Pow chicken with Tofu instead of chicken....
Not a problem! So glad I asked, I have been ordering it this way several times since then...
Carried out from Barefoot Buddha, a 'Mediterranean Sandwich' with Hummus, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, fresh Tomato, Red Onion and Spinach. Serviceable...
from Louie's Market, a Veggie Burger with Spinach and Plaintain...
A Tofu and Black Bean Burrito to celebrate the 4th at Melt. The Mr. really likes this place, but I am not a fan, I just went to be congenial...
Two Genips! Not the most interesting post, just trying to stay in the game. More to come. Bye for now.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Breakfast was a Chocolate Chia Pudding made with Soy Milk $5.25 at Barefoot Buddha . Surprisingly satisfying and I appreciated the biodegradable container and metal spoon...
their new 'crazy healthy deli' case of grab and go foods is operating now...
bet that Beet Ginger Kraut is calling FF's name. There were a good number of vegan items, but going to Barefoot Buddha at lunch time is a bit of a hassle for me. Maybe one day I will partake...
lunch was at Sails...
we started with some Salsa and Guac $12...
and I had the Passion Salad $16 with Orange Chipotle Vinaigrette and all that other good stuff. Sort of a Mexican themed lunch. It was all excellent...
a White Cheeked Pin-Tail Duck hanging out on the edge of the infinity pool...
standing on one leg...
I love when restrooms fold the ends of their toilet paper rolls into points. So classy...
Field Roast Franks and Tots for dinner (some things dont change)...
Hibiscus...
Great food day. Bye for now.

Barefoot Buddha

Barefoot Buddha is a popular place near where the cruise ships dock. Today, I got their Wrap Of The Day $11.25 Edamame Hummus, Thai Coconut Peanut Sauce, Shredded Carrots, Pickled Red Onions, Sprouts and Fresh Seasoned Spinach. It was pretty good...
not much to look at on the outside...
but the inside is very nice and they have shaded outdoor garden seating...
they just got a cooler that is going to stock a lot of prepared vegan foods for quick pick up...
Driving home I got stuck in a tiny bit of traffic, so I took this pic out the car window....
Below is the 'Veg Out' $8.75 made vegan. Had it about three weeks ago...Carrots, Sprouts, Avocado, Red Pepper, Red Onion, Mixed Greens & Tomato Coulis. Again, it was pretty good...
the most common bird here is the Pearly Eyed Thrasher...
I was expecting to see a lot of Bananaquits, but mainly see these guys all over...
this one was fascinated with some wet sand by the road...
I drive by this Cardinal Vine a lot. Really pretty...
Bye for now.
