More Good Stuff

What I have enjoyed recently: 'Spicy Tofu Stir Fry' with Mixed Vegetables and Plaintains at Sabroso. Emphasis on 'spicy'...
Sabroso is a cute little place that closed the door and turned on the AC when we came to eat there. We didnt ask them to. Very thoughtful. I can see why this place is so popular...
I still get excited by Banana flowers...
they are so big...almost like prehistoric times...
Molly Molones thought outside the box with their vegetarian platter, 'The Boxty Sampler', Potato Cake Wedges, Zucchini, Beets and Hummus. Very tasty...
loved this lttle family exploring the restaurant...
nice well-made Painkiller...
a whole bunch of Egrets...
The 'Caribbean Vegetable Stir-Fry' at Jen's Island Deli is unusually delicious....
their Painkillers are strong as well...
below is a baby Hawk that was perched right outside our balcony one evening...
Hydrangeas? I dunno...
Lots more to come. Bye for now.

  1. This is a great post! I love the birds on the chair! And the huge leaves. Lovely flora as always.
The spicy tofu sounds really good and the potato wedges too! I was thinking the other day how good colcannon is, it's nearing St Patricks day - i should make some into fritters.

  2. Wow, all the food looks delicious! It looks like a lot of the lunches/dinners you find kind of makes up for the lack of breakfast and brunch options. I love all the birds. I don't think I've ever seen a baby hawk!

    1. You would think the other deliciousness would make up for the dearth of breakfast and brunch options, but it hasnt yet. Breakfast/brunch out on the weekends is more important to me than I realized.

  3. That boxty plate sampler and painkiller look so delicious! So does that carribean stir fry plate....
Egrets always look so elegant to me.

Hhmm. I think we either were at el quinto pino or terroir for my birthday this year...?

    1. I remember when you did Terroir, you didnt mention it was for your birthday. Glad you finally got to pick a place to your liking.

  4. That bikini glass is weird and amazing all at the same time. The food looks incredible, I'm especially loving that stir fry! Yum! The potato cake wedges look pretty great too.

Are you gearing up for summer heat? How hot does it get there?

    1. The bikini glass seemed pretty sexist to me, but a lot of the made in China stuff and souveniers are similar. The drink made up for the glass. I am ready for the heat of summer cuz the water has been a tad chilly the past month or two.

  5. I think it's is a hydrangea, and that is my favorite color of them! Just gorgeous!

I agree that the boxty plate and spicy tofu look fantastic! I was not prepared for the painkiller cup. Ha ha!

    1. Interesting to see Hydrangea in bloom in March. I could never get it to bloom in Virginia, the deer always nibbled the one bush I had to the ground.

  6. Those potato wedges look really great and I do think those are some kind of hydrangea, which I love. You can dry them if you're into it. Beware of bees!
