A Week Of Lunches

All were winners this week, starting with a Vegetable Panini at Bella Blu. The bread was so light with Roasted Red Peppers, Spinach, Tomato and Olive Oil. They did a great job...
Tuesday was a feta-less Greek Salad carried out from Virgilios. This Salad is so delicious, I fear there might be egg or dairy in the dressing....
Wednesday I just stayed home and enjoyed Gardein Crispy Tenders with Heinz-57. Both items are ridiculously expensive down here, but gotta show the demand for them...
Thursday, I carried out a large platter from Love Livin. Lasagna, Broccoli, Eggplant and Pasta Salad. Tons left for future meals, a great value...
Lunch today was another Vegetable Panini, this time at Boom Cucina. Lots of Zucchini, Onions and a little rustic style Hummus. Messy but tasty, I will get it again..
the fuzzies have pretty much done in our couch, so Tuesday a non-absorbant replacement will be arriving...
ads for next months Vegan Food Fair are appearing around the Island. Hope to purchase some homemade sweets...
Lots more to come. Bye for now.

  1. All of the food looks delicious, but I'm sorry the puppies all laying on the couch is the star of this post for me!! I am in love! I'm wondering how the kitties feel with the extra pups? I know my cats are very anti dog!!
Sandwiches and salads for me are always so much better when someone else makes them I don't know why!!

    1. The cats are not thrilled with the dogs. We are working with Calvin and Sadie in particular to leave the cats alone.

  2. Nice looking lunches! I hope that Greek salad doesn't have either of those ingredients as it does look delicious! Love Livin sure knows how to be generous and feed a gal for a few days. Ah yes, Chickenless strips and Heinz 57 takes me back to the WFH days in VA. Speaking of which, are you still working for the same company?

I love the dog couch! Will it remain or will it go? Is he Mister warming up to the new members a little more? So many questions today! Ha ha!

    1. Yes, I still work for the same company (using the same Dell laptop they gave me eight years ago for telecommuting). Alas, the Mister is not warming up to the new family members, but we found a great therapist to visiy to air our grievances in an objective setting. It has helped.

  3. That greek salad looks delicious! The salad dressing gets "creamy" when they beat the oil and vinegar in a blender, i've never seen a recipe for greek style dressing that has dairy or mayo or anything non-vegan.
I imagine the gardein and ketchup are cheaper than buying lunch even if it is a lot more there.
Will you be able to find the fancy stuffed field roast or the stuffed gardein to have for the holidays?

We're doing a Christmas brunch again this year and then i'll make a soup or stew for us to have for our small dinner.

    1. I sure hope you are right about the dressing for the Greek Salad. I guess I was getting it confused with a Caesar Salad dressing.

Arent you going back to California for the holidays? Or is the Christmas Brunch done there? I recall some Ginger Cupcakes that were too gingery last year.

  4. The salad, tenders and everything from Love Livin look greatttt. I love roasted red peppers on sandwiches.
Sorry to hear about the couch, but at least it looks like the dogs are all getting along.
So those vegan food festivals are monthly?? That's pretty nice.

    1. The vegan food festival is an annual event. It just happens to be next month. Your vegan pop up markets look pretty darn nifty as well.

  5. Aaaaahhhh that fur baby picture!! They are too much, so freaking cute!! What a good looking crew you have there.

Everything looks so delicious! Both of the panini sandwiches look incredible. The large platter has so much and definitely seems like a great deal. Looks like you've been continuing to find some great food there!
