I Sent Myself Cookies

Below is a lousy picture of eight bags of Christmas Cookies that arrived today. Turns out Vegan Treats will mail their Holiday Cookie Sampler to the Virgin Islands! Such a forward thinking company...
Just to show that sometimes I eat healthfully, this is a Blackened Tofu Salad enjoyed at The Grille At Mahogany Run this week...
our new seating arrangement bought in hopes of easy pee and puke cleanups. Unfortunately, it is not very easy on the posterior....
the benches were bought at Re-Use Emporium and formerly were part of a bar/restaurant that closed down...
When they delivered the benches, we assumed that they were taking our old couch to the landill. Today we popped into the store and were shocked to see our old couch for sale. They had cleaned the cushions, but I guess they couldnt repair the wicker that had been clawed and/or chewed off...
Now that its clean, I sort of feel like buying it back if it is still around in February. I didnt appreciate how comfortable it was...
lastly, I poured myself a glass of water today and turned my back for a minute. Little Mama was going to town on it, even though there was a wider rimmed water dish right next to it. Such a Little Mama!
to remind people this is a blog from a tropical setting, below is a picture I took of a Porcupine Fish...
Lots more to come. Bye for now.

  1. Yay for Christmas cookies!! You're brilliant! looks like a fun variety of them too. What are the red sandwich cookies?
The tofu salad looks great, i always appreciate it when they're generous with the tofu.
That's too funny that the old couch is for sale! I'm thinking the bench could use some really big pillows to make it more comfy....

I fly home to CA this Thursday for about a week, i can't wait to cuddle on the couch by the fire with Piggy (the chubby cat), a good book and some glogg! (Unfortunately my work is still insane so i will be working a bit while i'm there...)

    1. Aint no pillows big enough to make the new benches comfy. The discomfort has cut down on our tv viewing, so that is interesting.

Your parents must be the coolest what with the glogg and just letting you relax when you visit instead of terrorizing you. They should blog!

  2. This is such a great post! I'm glad you sent yrself cookies, you deserve them. You're also the only person I know who could probably make those cookies last until next Christmas, so it's more than yr money's worth.
Also, so cool about the couch!! There's a place like that here, it's nice to hear about recycling furniture rather than everyone always buying new. maybe if you do buy the couch back, you could keep it in a place away from the pets?
And yea, Haxan does the exact same thing with my water. It's not like I don't give her fresh water everyday! maybe it's something about the height of the glass?

    1. 'Sending myself Cookies' just sounds more special than 'I ordered Cookies'. Just like 'I bought myself flowers' always sounds special.

I am seriously considering buying back that couch.

  3. Little Mama is like my little Roxy! And Kanye likes to drink the water out of my water filter pitcher when I refill it.
I really always love the looks of all your tofu dishes.

  4. How awesome that Vegan Treats ships to the VI! It looks like a nice little pile of goodies. Almost like the dessert trolley.

So interesting how they directly recycle the furniture! I can definitely see how the bench wouldn't be he most inviting for humans, so I support the repurchase.

    1. It is so ridiculous how companies wont ship here. It doesnt cost any extra and they are losing a lot of business.

I love that they recycled the furniture! I agree with Ingrid, I support the repurchase :)

    1. The couch may be coming back! It certainly would be weird if someone bought it.
