Tower of London and Burough Market

Today was dedicated to the Tower of London, but first...
another fantastic breakfast was had...
Almond Milk Chai Latte, so so good...
26 Grains. Super awesome.
There is simply too much to see and do in London, it would take years to see it all. Just walking to the Tower of London, I happened to pass this majestic memorial to British seamen...
approaching the outside of the Tower.
the entrance is to the right...
The 'Yeoman Warder' who guided my tour was utterly hilarious. It was worth the price of admission just for him alone.
More Tower..
Raven...
Gargoyle...
after exploring the Tower, I walked across Tower Bridge...
and back west on the south side of the Thames, to London Bridge, where I turned south and found Borough Market, a.k.a. Nirvana. This market with its variety of vendors was actually better than the food hall at Harrod's! Totally unexpected. My pictures dont do it justice...
they had everything there, from Indian Street Food...
really wanted to try this vendor...
Egyption Street Food...
Thai Street Food (these are Coconut Pancakes)...
Gorgeous produce markets...
Artichokes with long stems!
Too beautiful to eat!
Blue Mushrooms!
Morels!
Fairy Ring Mushrooms? Suspicious.
flower stalls..
the English are renowned for their gardens..
several bakeries and confectionaries...I could have spent days here, but I had to meet the Mr. for lunch...
So I walked over the London Bridge...
and down to St. Paul's Cathedral, where he had been touring...
We couldnt decide where to do lunch, so the Mr. suggested Wild Food Cafe since I loved it so much last night. I started with a bowl of their Soup Du Jour, Lentil...
PLUS my same dinner from last night. I figured I had walked a billion miles, why not? It was all so delicious, but still way too much. I will miss this restaurant. So still trying to digest, doubt I will do dinner. Taking the Chunnel to Paris in the morning. Thanks for looking. Bye for now.

    1. Avocado Toast for breakfast is certainly mainstream in London, which is excellent. I hope you get to Burough Market one day!

  2. Whoa, that avocado toast is amazing! I LOVE thick cut bread and the avocado looked like perfection. That almond milk chai also looks phenomenal.

Very cool pics from the Tower of London. You must have been exhausted, it looked like you walked A LOT. What a great find with that market. I would love to explore beautiful markets like that. The produce, the flowers, the street food… it must have been wonderful to experience that.

  3. I had no idea that Borough hall had so many vegan friendly vendors- so much of that looks SO good! And what an amazing selection of mushrooms and other veggies..... i think that was a fantastic decision to go back to the same cafe, I'm really impressed by the great restaurants you have found there- most of the menu at 26 grains are dishes i would be thrilled to eat anytime..,
