Victor's New Hideout

Well we finally found it!
We moved here two years ago today and just this past weekend found Victor's.
They were setting up for a wedding reception on Saturday night, so it is apparently a bit of an institution...
the restaurant overlooks Crown Bay Marina...
I went with the Curried Tofu....
The Tofu was breaded, so probably not vegan. Wish I could rave. If De Coal Pot was in this locale, it would the utlimate place for Island Cuisine. As it is, we dont see much reason to return.
As I mentioned, we moved here two years ago today, and there is still so much we havent done: Blackbeard's Castle, the Synagogue, Magic Ice, Parasailing....this list goes on and on...
Trying to get a good pic of Calvin and Scrat poked his nose in. Thanks for looking. Bye for now.

I love curried tofu and that version looks delicious! Hopefully it was vegan!

  2. Ah yes, I recall it well - the jaw dropping post on your Shenandoah Vegan blog, when I wished I could do the same! Might have asked this before, but do you still have all of your fowl? I can't remember. Do you think you'll visit the house in VA any time soon?

    1. Only the rooster is from the original group of fowl I brought down. The rest werent cut out for Island life apparently, or else they are living elsewhwre. I hope and pray I never set foot back in the D.C. area again, but the Mr. insists on hanging on to the house there, so who knows what that might necessitate one day? Cant be good.

  3. I still can't believe it has been two years! It feels like the time has flown by and you've had so many adventures since then. It's too bad that the places you've been looking for have been disappointing (I recall there being another restaurant that didn't live up to the hype) but hopefully the next adventures will be more exciting for you. At least the view was nice! That water still gets me.

Your babies are too adorable. That photo bomb is so cute and hilarious. Love seeing their sweet faces!

  4. How lame that the food wasn't better, that is a killer view! I looked closely at your photo and i don't think the tofu was breaded, that's actually not easy to do it falls off! I think it was just tossed with cornstarch and deep fried quickly - restaurant cooks who don't know what to do with tofu love to fry it. Takes like 30 seconds to cook.
I hope you went to da coal pot for some great tofu since.
Love that photo bomb!! So adorable!
