Nagee's

It is pronounced like 'noogies' but with an 'ah' instead of an 'oo'...
this tiny out of the way place serves the usual Vegetarian and Ital Cuisine. It is carryout only and cash only and based on the amount of customers when we were there, it is very popular...
there were the Starches - Potatoes, Mac & Cheese, the Grains - Quinoa, Pumpkin Rice, Brown Rice...
the BBQ Gluten, Beans, various Tofus, Pepper Steak etc along with Vegetables and Salads...
my Potatoes Au Gratin being scooped out...
Mashed Split Peas served with an ice cream scoop...
the Fritters are kept in a warming station...
Below is my container of Chili, Tofu, Potatoes and Veggies. I was glad they dont pile everything on top of each other. The containers are sold by weight at $7.50/pound...
we also got four Pumpkin Fritters for breakfast next week...
So there's Nagee's finally. Bye for now.

  1. Oh you'll have to let us know how the pumpkin fritters are. Are they like pancakes?
I would have gone for the BBQ gluten. is it generally made spicy?

    1. The Fritters are like Pancakes. I didnt realize you were a gluten fan, dont recall seeing you eat gluten or bbq on your blog.

  3. Was the food tasty? Some of the serving areas look a bit cafeteria.

    1. That is how they do it down here. You just have to buy some serving trays and spoons and you are in business. Gotta admit, these island joints have some great secret recipes.

  4. Mashed split peas with an ice cream scoop is a new sight for me! It looks delicious, one thing I've noticed is every restaurant you've been to seems to really know how to cook tofu.

    1. Which is odd cuz Tofu is very expensive in the grocery stores here. Dont know where the restaurants are getting their bulk Tofu from.

    1. Still havent tried the Pumpkin Fritters. They use local Pumpkin, it is not like the Pumpkin you are used to seeing at home. These are ginormous gourds.

  6. I love that your veggie spots are so popular! Looks like a great assortment they have- I don't know how you can ever make a decision... Mashed peas are a new one. Good call on the pumpkin fritters.

Our "arctic blast" is traumatizing...! Negative on brunch plans since almost all my friends have Valentines to tend to- i'll be hibernating making soup :)

    1. I am glad I missed that blast. Been in enough of those to last me a lifetime. I suppose brunch out on V-Day could be a nightmare even in not so bad weather. God bless Soup!
