Slow Saturday

This morning, I took the 9am people ferry to St. John to leisurely browse around the shops in Cruz Bay. Breakfast was at St. John Scoops. My 'St. John Sunrise' $10 made with Quinoa, Granola, Peanut Butter and Almond Milk was fantastic...
After seeing and buying everything I wanted to, I caught the noon ferry back to St. Thomas. There are two private islands north of St. Thomas: St. James and Little St. James. They are owned by financier Jeffrey Epstein...
he also keeps this black private plane at the St. Thomas airport. People here talk about him a lot. Nothing positive...
but back to my day. After arriving back at Red Hook, I stopped for lunch at  De Coal Pot....
at home, Molly approved the Caribbean Hook Bracelet I had bought on St. John...
Jasper rolling around in the kitchen...
and our Rooster who has taken to hanging out on the deck all day...
still got some hours to go, maybe I should sweep off the deck. Bye for now.

  1. Hard to believe there wouldn't be much nice to say about a financier! Jasper is adorable! That's so funny, the rooster is surveying the land! Pretty bracelet.

    1. The bracelet compliments are sweet, but everyone down here wears them. they're called Caribbean Hook Bracelets and if you came here, I am sure you would end up buying one too.

  3. Awwww!!! Look at the sweet babies! I am loving all of the critter pics. The smoothie sounds so good and is such a pretty peachy color!! I love that you can island hop, that is the coolest thing to me. The bracelet is gorgeous too. It looks like a really nice day!

    1. Well, technically you're on an island as well, arent you?

  4. What a fun little trip! The smoothie and lunch both look great.

I've never heard of Jeffrey Epstein, but anyone who owns an island or private jet probably doesn't have good social graces. Ha!

I love your bracelet! Molly has excellent taste, too. ;)

    1. I am surprised no one here has heard of Jeffrey Epstein. Guess you dont read the NYPost. It is right wing, but has a few good articles from time to time.

  5. Love that little rooster! What a tuft.
The new roommate moved in with her cat and I am in awe of how other people have gotten multiple cats to cohabitate, so good for you.
Coal Pot lunch looks good - what's under all that sauce?
I'm drinking a smoothie right now and want to get back in the habit - one with quinoa and peanut butter sounds so delicious and filling!

    1. There are delicious patties made if TVP and Beans under the sauce. If you dont get Haxan and the new cat off to a good start, try keeping the new cat in it's own room for a week (with food, water and litter of course) and then try letting the new cat out briefly over time.
