the drinks are huge which is really important cuz besides being hot, it takes a long time till the food comes out...
my Tofu Burrito with Guac...super delish...
some guy walking by bestowed upon me a lovely flower made from a dried palm frond. After I accepted, he asked for a dollar...
speaking of a dollar, beliw is one of the bins where we dump our trash. There is a guy who hides behind the bins and, when we pull up, he jumps out and grabs the trash from us to toss in the bin and then asks for a dollar. If he sees you going for the money, he starts upping the asking price to two dollars! five dollars! ten dollars! Dumping the trash has become quite stressful...
below is our latest piece of furniture delivered this morning...
and below is what the furniture was bought to hide. Works like a charm...
also taken today, sweet Marmalade snoozing on a bag of kitty litter. $7 for a 20 pound bag. Must be comfortable for that price...
Lots more to come. Bye for now.
Big cold drinks and a tofu burrito?? Definitely a winner!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the trash guy!! I mean, i can, but seriously he would have gotten the rude end of this new yorker's vocabulary ;)
That cabinet is SO gorgeous, very clever solution to the impressive was of wires and cords you have. And i love the snoozing marmalade photo!! What a cutie.
We're hoping to get back to brunching this weekend, between the holidays and colds going around it's been too long....

So glad brunching is back. Some extra Horseradish in your Bloody Mary should kill whatever germs are in lurking in ya.
DeleteOh my gosh that drink and that burrito! It looks sooooooo good! I still can't imagine what it must be like to be that warm in January but I'm sure the drink helped cool you off ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is so obnoxious about the trash guy! I can't stand that stuff. I do love the cabinet though! So pretty!! And yay for Marmalade! Too cute. Makes up for annoying trash guys.
The trash guy is a major character. We passed the bins this afternoon and there he was hauling the trash out of some poor guys vehicle. There has to be an easier way to make a living.
DeleteYay! Great stuff (minus the trash guy - I'd just "no thank you" over and over again, obnoxiously). The burrito and margarita- and hot weather - all sound divine. In fact, I'm envious! I'm ready for winter to be over - we've already had it for too long!
ReplyDeleteAwe, Marmalade! Hard to believe that just a few years ago, she was a cantankerous lady who moved into your barn with her litter of kittens.
'No Thank You' over and over? That is so cute. Yes, Marmalade is now completely domesticated here. Her kids still are wary of living with humans.
DeleteI can't stop eyeing those green chips, but lady- get thee some wire ties! Wouldn't you feel better knowing there was order back there ;-)
ReplyDeleteWire ties? i am terrified to touch those wires. Who knows what each one leads to and what my touching it will do. Leaving well enough alone there.
DeleteI can't even imagine the stress with the trash guy. Stuff like that makes me want to hide under a blanket!
ReplyDeleteThat burrito looks amazing, I love all the tofu chunks! And I love seeing Marmalade, so sweet!
We do wonder how many people now drive the extra miles to drop off their trash just to avoid trash guy. Glad you are back in the blogging world.
