Sunday On St. John

After a surprisingly chilly swim in Trunk Bay, we drove east and stopped for some Smoothie's at Colombo's...
Strawberry, Mango and Passionfruit $7.75 was the special of the day and it was incredible. Usually they make the Smoothies with yogurt, but we ordered Almond Milk instead. I assume they used fresh fruit, but couldnt see. We declined the free rum...
the view from Colombo's...
spent some time in Coral Bay and then headed back west to Cruz Bay. This little fella in town was barking at us till I started taking his pic..
our primary goal for the day  was lunch at De Coal Pot, but, wouldnt ya know it? they were closed. Totally bummed, we walked over to Cruz Bay Landing and sat there for 20 minutes being ignored. Got up and went over to High Tide, were immediately welcomed and served, thankfully. The view from our table was very soothing...
My Garden Salad with Tofu was excellent...
A Thrasher watched us eating. High Tide saved the day.
a huge Iguana by the ferry dock on the way out...
Dinner back home was Curried Potatoes and Chickpeas from Natural Livity...
this morning there was an almost double rainbow over the Brasses...
Lots more to come. Bye for now.

  1. The view from Columbo's is amazing. I have never seen such a huge iguana! The tofu you get there always looks delicious. I love it when places really know how to cook tofu!

  2. That iguana is awesome! The rainbow too.
Nice looking smoothie. Really thick. Not sure I've ever had passionfruit but it sounds delicious.

    1. I have yet to eat an actual Passion Fruit, just been drinking it so far, but the taste lives up to its name.

    1. The Salad was really good. I like it when being vegan forces me to order something that sounds dull but actually turns out to be delicious.

  4. Beautiful salad and smoothie! I guess the views aren't too awful, either. ;)

Are you watching The Bachelor? Team Becca and JoJo all the way. Applause to the producers for finding Olivia...a real gem! Ha!

    1. I NEED to see Olivia's cankles and toes. She is so much like Courtney Robertson, like she wants to be the villain. I guess I was team Jubilee, but now I will have to pick someone else to root for.

  5. Who says no to free rum in a smoothie??!? Looks like a great one either way. Sounds like your lunch restaurant conundrum turned out to the a third try is a charm!
I can totally see a double rainbow in your photo- isn't that good luck or something?
