Love Livin

Love Livin is yet another fantastic vegan restaurant...
the restaurant is literally a drive-thru, but with face-to-face ordering...
they have a couple Papaya Trees in front (a few leaves showing signs of the prolonged drought)...
I eat soup all year round, so I was interested in their 'Ital Soup' made with Lentils, Pumpkin, Cauliflower, Beets, Celery and lots of other Veggies. Very nourishing...
Their Cashew Cheese Lasagna is heavenly. So delicate it practically floats off the plate..
this was a large carry-out order of BBQ Tofu, Lentils and Kale...Mr. STVegetarian and I split the order...
we could not identify the yellow stuff which tasted like mashed Banana and Mango....
Yet more carryout (Stir Fry, Kale Salad and Beet Salad) that has yet to be broken up into smaller portions to be eaten throughout the week...
Hibiscus. Hard to believe Sorrel Drink is made from these, but supposedly...
Really love livin down here! Bye for now.

  1. Holy crap! It's like an island full of impressive vegan restaurants!!! Freaking all of that looks so delicious... That soup looks great, love that they add pumpkin in there. And cashew cheese lasgna??? Yum. Looks like they're generous portions too- why do so many vegetarian and vegan restaurants have dinky sized portions here?!
So glad you're adjusting and loving the change-

I actually took today off (!) which was planned a while back. I needed it very badly. I decided to do selfish luxurious things like sleep late, order online grocery delivery, and had a great long citibike ride down the west side highway as the sun was setting-75 with a breeze- and met a few friends for drinks and tapas. A neede break from the crazy at work lately....

    1. online grocery delivery?! that is super luxurious! hauling in groceries is a pain (at least you dont have to buy kitty litter). Great job indulging yourself in a healthful manner!

    1. I definitely researched the restaurant situation before moving here. Many hours spent researching. I love Split Pea Soup.

  5. That food looks great. I know good food cost, but what's the cost of eating food there. I cannot find prices anywhere. Is this place just a take-out, or can you dine in there.

    1. The daily specials are between $8 and $12 depending on the size of the container. You can eat there, either sitting outside looking west over the valley, or inside there are about a half dozen tables set up. probably hotter sitting down inside.

  6. If using public transportation, how much does it cost to get up the hill to the restaurant, from downtown Charlotte Amalie.

    1. It should only be $1 on a VITran Safari Bus but as to where to catch the bus to go up that hill...I cant help you there. Walking it is not worth it, that is for sure...Natural Livity in town has longer hours and no hill. That would be my first choice anyway...
