Food and Critters

Boca Burger with Fries and bottle of Sorrel from Natural Livity....
'Spaghetti with Herb Garlic Chili Oil' at The Pie Whole. Spaghetti tossed with Olive Oil, Parsley, Oregano, Basil, Garlic and Crushed Red Pepper (they left off the meat and cheese)...
when a cruise ship is in town, this guy shows up at the Magen's Bay overlook with a donkey wearing flowers on it's head. The tourists pay to pose with the donkey. I took this pic while driving by to avoid paying...
two cats that are always at Magen's Bay..
a bird spotted in the Mangroves at Magen's Bay...
a snoozing brother and sister...
More food stuff in the blogging hopper. Bye for now.

  1. Oooh so many adorable critters!! You must enjoy seeing them all over the place! I love the sleepy puppy picture so much :)

Oooh that burger looks incredible! The fries look really perfect too. I like the seasonings on that pasta. It looks so pretty with all of the green specks :)

    1. I have been meaning to say sorry for asking you to take lizard pics on your Florida trips. I see tiny lizards all the time, but by the time I get my camera ready, they dart off. They're impossible!

  2. Natural lividity is like your new loving hut! Boca burgers can be boring but that looks like its crammed with fresh toppings and some fabulous fries there too.
Haha, i always giggle a bit when ordering something and ask they keep the cheese/egg/meat/etc..or if i'm hungry and high maintenance i ask they swap the cheese for avocado and the meat for whatever beans. And then i leave a nice tip if they do :)
I don't understand the picture with a donkey- are there lots of donkeys on the island??? And i would like to be reincarnated as a beach cat.
Your dogs are too cute for words, adorable photo you got there

    1. They really crammed the Boca Burger full of great stuff. I cant wait to go get another one. Must be like when Americans in foreign countries go to mcDonalds. Avocados arent as cheap and plentiful here as one one assume. Even though the trees can successfully grow here, it surprises me. The Donkey with the flowers on its head it the only one I have seen. St. John is where one goes for lots and lots of Donkeys. You havent been filling me in on the NYC happenings - Citibike, Juice Bars, Brunching...

  3. Even island cats look more relaxed! That bird is so cute. I bet it's interesting to see all the different wildlife. I love the drive by donkey picture, I would have done the same thing. I'm glad you're able to find decent vegan grub!

    1. The Donkey tender does not look friendly. I do hope he takes good care of the Donkey.

    1. I am sort of afraid of his owner to be quite honest...

  5. The fries at Natural Livity look nicely prepared! Too bad they didn't in some veggies in the pasta - it's sounds tasty otherwise!

Huh! I'm totally going to look up "posing with a donkey on St. Thomas" and see what results. Beach cats really do have the life!! Poley and Teddy look like they are pretty happy!! Would you say the canines, as a whole, are fully adjusted? And the felines are...33%? How about those fowl?

I hope the Mister has had a good time in VA, although I understand a heavy storm moved into your old hood...

    1. you made me search for posing with Donkeys. Not much came up which is odd (although, thankfully, nothing xrated came up). all the critters are happier here except the barn cats in the guest bedroom. they are starting to loosen up a little but, but the glare of hatred that Jasper gives me. The Mister told me about the storm and how fortunate we were that Teddy missed it. She totally freaks out when it so much as rains.
