More Food and Critters

Not much has been happening here. Got a 'Veggie Club' without cheese and dressing at the Delly Deck. It was okay. Would probably have been better with cheese and dressing (or Avocado, but, surprisingly, there isnt that much Avocado around down here). Most of the meal went to the chickens both at the restaurant and at home. However, I plan to return cuz service and atmosphere were good..
Finally got Salad from the Fruit Bowl. Would have been better if someone else had assembled it...
Last night was the second time I have caught a baby lizard in the house. Unfortunately, this little bugger escaped before I could put him put outside. Hope he finds his way...
Mr. STVegetarian was missing his little girl, so I sent him this pic tonight to make him miss her even more...
Some orange flowers just cuz...
Bye for now.

  1. The sandwich looks good-maybe that extra layer of bread for the club screwed up the stuff to bread ratio to make it too dry....weird that they don't have those big tropical avocados on more stuff, they probably don't grow haas anywhere there.
Good looking salad! Was there any dressing on there?
That doggie pic would melt anyone's heart...!!!

If the Mr is in the mainland request nuts and just mayo come back with him :)
Totally just bring an empty water jug to the coconut man. I would leave the coconut hacking open to the locals until you take a machete handling safety course!
No roasted banana ice cream for me although it is a great idea.

    1. There are big bright green Avocados down here. i dont know if they are going to ripen to dark green or what? No one to ask. There was balsamic vinaigrette on the salad, but the whole thing (while pretty) was lousy. I am not much of a nut eater, but for $3.75/pound I would become one. Carrying Just Mayo on the plane, not sure if that would be a prob in terms of keeping it cold? Getting a jug is on my list of things to do.

  2. Bummer about the club sandwich. It certainly looks good. Maybe take it to go and add some Chao or Vegannaise? Hmm...I wonder if you could grow an avocado tree on your property. They like warm weather, right? What is the average temperature there? In Texas it has been 100 plus humidity. Gross. And then I freeze inside. Sweet Teddy, I love that face!

    1. I can definitely grow Avocados, but am still assessing the property to see what is growing currently. The average temp is 85 degrees I believe. Definitely gonna plant some Papaya trees. Isnt it a dry heat in Texas? i was in San Antonio once a long time ago. Had the best Margarita.

  3. That baby lizard is so sweet! Salads are way better when assembled by someone else! You need a Just Mayo and cashew milk ice cream connection like now!

    1. You have no idea how I need some Just Mayo and, at this point, any vegan ice cream. Still worth it all though to be here.

  4. I could have sworn I commented on this!!! The sandwich and fries look AMAZING!!!! The salad is really beautiful too, some nice looking produce and chickpeas are always a yummy addition. I agree, they always taste better when someone else makes them!

I LOVE the lizard pic!!! Too cute! It's so little. Love the sweet puppy pic too! I'm sure that made Mr. STVegetarian miss her even more. So freaking cute.

  5. Those flowers, the fries, the pooch face! But really, that baby lizard is nuts. Check your shoes before putting them on!
