Yacht Haven Farmers Market

It is the first Sunday of the month cuz the Yacht Haven Farmers Market was in full swing...
The below woman was selling Mangos grown in her own yard...
I bought a huge one for $2...
she also has gorgeous tropical flowers for sale...
under the red tent was another woman selling some prepared foods...
I didnt buy anything, maybe in two weeks (the third Sunday of the month)...
Aside from a guy selling Bok Choy, this stand below had the most variety...
but, as you can see, nothing too unusual...
pretty flower for ornamentation...
below is a view of Hassell Island (a national park) and beyond, to the right, is Water Island...
a view of Magen's Bay pointing east. The little island beyond it is called 'Hans Lollick'.
We have been swimming at Magen's Bay in the mornings before 8am. That is when they start charging an admission fee. Yep, people have yachts anchored there...
Mr. STVegetarian was sitting in the vehicle while I took the above pics. That is a less spectacular Flamboyant Tree behind him...
I guess that is enough for one day. Bye for now.

  1. So stunning. What an awesome market. maybe you should grow yr own mangoes too. I know I'm still asking too many questions, but had you visited St. Thomas in the past?

    1. I hope to grow my own Mangoes once I figure out what is currently growing in the yard. I might already have a Mango Tree and not know it. I had visited St. Thomas when I was five (remember it like yesterday) and twenty five (dont remember as well). The Island isnt as unspoiled as back then, but it still has some places to focus on.

  2. Be careful cutting up your fresh mango! Those can be super slippery, but soooo worth it ... The shots of the bay and islands beyond are just stunning.
And early morning swims just sound like the best way possible to start your day. If i had a yacht i would park there too!

    1. I plan to eat the Mango like an Apple. Cutting one up is too labor intensive. It is interesting to see how many yachts there are. Quite an eye opener. I should take some pics of the unusual ones.

  3. Early morning swims in that water sound amazing! I am loving the new blog format, and I love looking at tropical pictures almost as much as animal pictures. I have to check the security issue on my blog. Thanks for letting me know!

    1. I am really not an early morning swim type, but that is when Mr. STVegan goes, so I go than as well. There are lots of regular swimmers in the Bay. All very friendly. Dont know if it is security or what, but your blog makes me try to register with some other site. It may prevent other commenters as well.

  4. That tree, the water; so glad you decided to move there instead of New Brunswick, NJ ;-)

  5. What a lovely market!! I didn't think I could get more jealous but I think if you had a mango tree it would definitely happen ;) That crystal blue water is so inviting. It seems so idyllic there, I'm so happy that you are settling in :)
