is really super quiet...
I was literally walking the streets alone much of the time...
arrived at
Veganz when they opened at 11am...
my expectations were way too high. There was just a small counter with pre-made Sandwiches and Cakes. The grocery store part is now closed on Sundays, but from what I could see of it, I wasn't missing much. Denn's Biomarket was much more impressive...
the restaurant part is operated by a company called Wondergood...
the cakes looked incredible...
I mean really....
the Germans know their baked goods...
fans of Cinnamon Buns would be happy here...
I got a Cheese Sandwich...
with a side of Potato Salad. Both were very delicious, but I couldnt help but wonder what Sunday brunch was like at Vevay. Still, it was my vegan duty to check the place out...
hit the streets for more walking...
In and along the river was a waterfowl extravaganza I was not expecting. First time seeing a new bird on the trip. I have mainly seen Pigeons, Crows and Sparrows...
the below are Bean Geese..
Mute Swans...
floating along with one leg behind its back...
Egyptian Geese..
a family of Bar Headed Geese..
crossed the bridge with all the love locks...
I am a fan of romance...
tried to drink an Apfelwein. Couldnt do it. Tasted disgusting. Four Euros down the drain, but again, had to do it...
Stumbled upon
Das Eis,..
Best Ice Cream I have ever had...
I got a Straciatella (Chocolate Chip) and Burgermeister (PB & Chocolate)
I am so thankful I got to try this place...
I also enjoyed a soft Pretzel in my room this afternoon. Had to buy Mustard at the store cuz they dont offer it here at the bakeries and I couldnt grab any in Burger King. Gotta admit, the Pretzel was no better than I have had in the States, but the Mustard was super strong. I will enjoy it back at home...
really interesting statue....
still have this piece of cake I bought this morning at Veganz...
Thanks for looking. I depart tomorrow at 10:45am. auf Wiedersehen für jetzt
